Account Deletion
Delete your account.
You can have your JobMap account and everything in it permanently removed. No hoops, no retention offer, no phone call.
Fastest: do it in the app. Open Settings → Account → Delete Account, type DELETE to confirm, and it happens immediately — no waiting on us. Use the form below if you can't sign in or would rather we handle it.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to your account, permanently:
- Your login and profile — name, email, phone, location, work history, education, skills
- Every company, contact, application, interview, offer, and action item you've tracked
- Interview notes, prep material, and any generated résumés
- Files you've uploaded — résumés, offer letters, and other documents
- Reminders and activity history
This cannot be undone, and we can't restore an account after the fact. If you want a copy of your data, export it from the app before you send the request.
How long it takes
We action requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner. Your account and its contents are removed from our live systems first; residual copies in encrypted backups age out on a rolling schedule and are fully purged within 30 days of deletion.
We keep a minimal record that a deletion request was made and honored — no job-search content, just enough to show we complied if asked.
Your Anthropic API key
If you used JobMap's AI features, your Anthropic API key was stored in your device's own secure storage (Keychain or Keystore) and never reached our servers — so there's nothing for us to delete. Remove it in Settings → Anthropic API Key, or uninstall the app, and it's gone. Deleting your JobMap account has no effect on your Anthropic account or its billing; close that separately at console.anthropic.com.
Request deletion
Use the email address you sign in with — we can only act on a request that matches an account, and we'll reply there to confirm before anything is removed. You can also email hello@jobmap.careers directly.
Deleting your account doesn't cancel anything else — JobMap is free and has no subscription. For how we handle data generally, see the Privacy Policy.
